Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) announced the release of five new products at the Electronics and Information Technology Exposition (ELITEX) '2008 organized by the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi during January 17-18, 2008.

C-DAC Mohali celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day on 10th May 2011. Dr. Debashish Dutta, Scientist G, Group Head from DeitY , MCIT graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, with the Guest of Honour Dr. R.S. Khandpur, Director General, PGSC and ex-DG CEDT Mohali. Sh. J.S. Bhatia, Executive Director , C-DAC Mohali welcomed the guests, invitees and employees.

C-DAC Mohali celebrated its 20 Years of excellence on 10th May,2009. Centre will organize various seminars, faculty development programs, workshops during this year. Some other initiatives will also be taken to develop the professional status of C-DAC Mohali.

The project implies the usage of modern tele-linking technology to provide medical facilities and expert medical opinions of specialists in remote locations. The data related with diagnostic test reports, X-rays and other information can be transferred under the telemedicine project from the civil hospital to experts sitting at distant places.
