ADMISSION TO M.TECH VLSI DESIGN PROGRAMME

General Information

The Institute offers Two year full time Post graduate programme leading to M.Tech degree. The distribution of seats for this programme is as under:

General : 10
Sponsored : 5
SC / ST : 3
Total 18

Eligibilty for Admission

The eligibility for candidates would be bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computers/ Instrumentation or equivalent degree with 55% marks in aggregate  from a recognized university.

Eligibilty for Admission under Sponsored category

The Sponsored candidate in addition to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions as specified above must have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience and a 1st class bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer/ Instrumentation. Candidates from PTU affiliated colleges including C-DAC would be eligible under sponsored seats. A letter of sponsorship from employer will be required.
In case a sufficient number of candidates from PTU affiliated colleges including C-DAC are not available, candidates from Recognized Research and Educational Institutions, Govt. departments, Govt. undertakings, public sector undertakings may be taken on merit. The sponsored candidates will not be eligible for scholarship.

Admission Procedure

Admission will be made on the basis of valid GATE score. Candidates without valid GATE score will be considered  on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Preference will be given to the candidates with valid GATE score.

Fee Details 

Counseling fee: Rs. 2,500
Tuition fees per semester: Rs. 24,500
Caution Money Deposit (Incl. Library Deposit): Rs. 5,000
Internet Charges per semester: Rs. 500
Hostel Fee: As applicable
