ADMISSION NOTICE

(FREE COACHING SCHEME FOR SC & OBC STUDENTS)

ADVANCED COURSE IN GRAPHICS AND MULTIMEDIA

Duration: 3 Months                                                                                                              Starting Date: 17.03.2008

 ELIGIBILITY:  10TH Pass

 COURSE CONTENTS: Fundamental of Computers, Introduction to Multimedia, Text Editing, Image Editing, Digital Audio and Video Editing, Computer Animation, Special Graphics, Web Page Designing, Web Animations, Multimedia Project Development.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN, ADVANCE FABRICATION & SOLDERING, DESOLDERING OF PCBs

Duration: 3 Months                                                                                                                                                                                   Starting Date: 17.03.2008

ELIGIBILITY:  Min. ITI in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical

COURSE CONTENTS: PCB CAD/CAM, Base Material, Component Identification, Types of PCBs & Overview of PCB Technologies, General Rules for Design of PCBs, Introduction to OrCAD Capture, Layout Plus, Auto-Placement of Components, Auto routing, Enhanced Routing Techniques, EMI/EMC, Multilayer Design, Post Processing, Advanced HDI Technologies, Project, PCB & material determination, Master Film Generation, Handling and Cutting of Base Material, CNC Programming and drilling, Direct Plating for PTH-PCBs, Image transfer by Photo fabrication, Electro Plating, Etching, Etch-Resist removal, Solder mask and legend print, Introduction to BGA Technology, Basic of Multilayer Fabrication Quality control /standards/final BBT, Producing of DI- and Distilled Water, HDI - Technologies by Laser Drilling, Waste water treatment, Importance of proper soldering, ESD for Operators, Theory of soldering, Soldering and de-soldering of through hole components, Defects in  solder joints and troubleshooting.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY OF STUDENTS: 

1.1    The students shall be selected based on merit. The coaching to SC and OBC candidates shall be in the ratio of 70:30. The seats to the above courses are limited to 30 for each course. Stipend will be payable at the rate of Rs.1500/student/month for outstation and Rs.750/student/month for local students.

1.2      Only students belonging to SCs and OBCs having total family income not exceeding Rs.2.00 lakh per annum will be eligible under the scheme.

1.3      The student is required to furnish an affidavit that he/she has not taken benefit more than twice under this scheme. The student is required to furnish an affidavit that he/she will not leave the coaching in between; else he/she will be liable to refund the amount spent on coaching to the Government.

   1.4  The selected students shall have to attend all classes. The medium of instructions is English. In the event of any student remaining absent for more than 15 days, without any valid reason, benefits of free coaching to him/her shall be discontinued and another students shall be taken in his/her place.

NOTE:    The students admitted under the program shall be governed by the rules and regulations stipulated for the scheme by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

HOW TO APPLY : Application may be sent on a plain paper mentioning Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Complete Address, Category(SC or OBC), Annual Total Family Income, Educational Qualifications along with attested copies of all certificates to “The Training Counselor, C-DAC, A-34, Industrial Area, Phase – VIII, Mohali – 160 071(Punjab).The closing date for receiving completed applications for admission is 29.02.2008. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION: Dormitory hostel facilities are available with all modern facilities at nominal charges on request basis.
