How to Download E-Aadhar

A person can download a digital copy of the Aadhar card from the internet. It can be done in various ways. A person can download E-Aadhar using their Aadhar number, by Virtual ID or VID and by Enrolment number or EID. Then comes the ‘I have’ section where the individual has to select ‘Aadhar Number’. The person has to fill in the 12-digit Aadhar number that has been allotted to him or her by UIDAI. If a person does not want his or her E-Aadhar to show the full digits of their Aadhar number, they can choose the ‘I want a Masked Aadhar’ option. 

The next step for the individual is to fill the captcha code correctly from the image that is provided right next to the captcha column. Then, the person has to click on the send OTP (One Time Password) option. The individual will receive the OTP on his or her registered mobile phone number. He or she should then enter the OTP from their mobile phone and then click on the ‘Verify and Download’ option to download the Aadhar card and then, the E-Aadhar will be successfully downloaded. 2. Aadhar card download by Virtual ID (VID)

In order to download E-Aadhar from the internet using Virtual ID or VID, the first thing an individual has to do is to visit the UIDAI’s official website. After that, the individual has to go to the ‘My Aadhar’ section. There, he or she should click on the ‘Download Aadhar’ option.

Next is the ‘I have’ section where the individual has to select the option of ‘Virtual ID’. The person has to fill in the 16-digit Virtual ID or VID. If a person does not want his or her E-Aadhar to show the full digits of their Aadhar number, they can choose the ‘I want a Masked Aadhar’ option.

After that, the individual has to go to the ‘My Aadhar’ section. There, he or she should click on the ‘Download Aadhar’ option.

Then comes the ‘I have’ section where the individual has to select the option of ‘Enrolment ID’. The person has to fill in the 14-digit Enrolment ID or EID. The person also has to enter a 14-digit date stamp that has been printed on the Enrolment Slip. If a person does not want his or her E-Aadhar to show the full digits of their Aadhar number, they can choose the ‘I want a Masked Aadhar’ option.

A new web page will open up where the individual has to fill in personal details like name, phone number and email address. The individual can select ‘Aadhar Number’ or ‘Enrolment ID’ as per their choice. The individual should then fill the captcha field from the image provided next to the captcha option and click on the ‘Send OTP’ option. The person will receive an OTP on his or her registered mobile number. He or she then has to enter the OTP and then click on the ’Verify and Download’ button to download E-Aadhar and thus, a person can download Aadhar by number and name.
