Steps to change the PNB transaction password 

If you have forgotten or are unable to log in to your PNB internet banking account, you can reset the internet banking username and password. To do this, you have to create a new username and password. This can be done by following the below instructions. 

• Step 1 – From your browser, visit the official internet banking website of Punjab National Bank. Press the PNB option. From the left side of the PNB site page, press the Retail Internet Banking button. 
• Step 2 – By clicking this option, you will be redirected to a new web page. Now, you will be asked to type your user ID.
• Step 3 – Press the Continue option. 
• Step 4 – Now, press the Forgot the Password option and reset your Punjab National Bank account Login and Transaction password. 
• Step 5 – Now, you will enter a new web page, where you will be asked to enter the user ID.
• Step 6 – Press the Submit option. 
• Step 7 – You should type the OTP that you have received in your registered contact number. Press the Continue button. 
• Step 8 – To complete the procedure, you should enter your PNB debit card number, PIN and linked bank account number. 
• Step 9 – Next, enter the relevant information asked in the fields and press the Continue button. 
• Step 10 – Now, you will be redirected to a new web page, where you will be asked to set both login password and Transaction password. These two will be provided as separate options. Select both and set your suitable password. Click the Submit button. 

You have successfully reset your Punjab National Bank transaction password. Use the password to log in to your PNB internet banking account. Do not share the password with anyone. Keep it confidential. Once the password is updated, you will see a notification on the screen saying the password changed successfully. 

If you didn’t know, the login password and Transaction password are two separate things. They can be different or the same, depending upon your preference. Earlier we told you to select both options while changing the password. You can set different passwords for both or set the same password. It is up to you! • If you do not have your bank passbook, you might think about how to get the customer ID. The passbook contains the customer ID. But, you can also obtain the Customer ID without a passbook. For this, you should go to the official website of PNB and click forgot user ID option. Then type your account number and choose the verify option. You will get an OTP to verify and obtain your customer ID. 
• Your transaction password is the password you use to carry out your internet banking transactions. While paying bills online or shopping online, if you select the internet banking option, you will be asked to enter the internet banking user ID and password. This password will protect your account from fraudulent activities. Therefore, it is important not to share the password with anyone.
