  • Open your browser and then navigate to SBI’s official online portal at
  • Once you are on their homepage, you need to navigate to the menu and then click on the e-Service tab under that.

  • Under that, click on ATM card services that are present under the drop-down menu.
  • Under that, click on ATM PIN generation

  • You can verify your identity using an OTP or the Profile ID, whatever seems the most convenient for you.
  • Click on the OTP password and the associated bank account and then click on SUBMIT.
  • You will then have to select the bank account that is associated with your SBI debit card.

  • Under that, you have to select the debit card whose PIN you want to reset. Click on SUBMIT.
  • This will redirect you to the ATM PIN reset page.
  • In the one field, enter two digits of your choice and then click on SUBMIT

  • Once done, you will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number with the remaining two digits.
  • On the next page of the reset page, you need to enter the first two digits you entered and enter the next two digits that you received from the bank via SMS.
  • Click on SUBMIT.
  • You will receive a message that you have successful reset the SBI debit card ATM PIN from there.

How To Reset SBI Debit Card PIN Through ATM?

If you don’t rely the online means and want to do it offline, you can change or reset the SBI debit card PIN via an ATM too. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Visit the nearest SBI ATM or e-corner that you can find
  • Once inside, enter your SBI debit card into the ATM machine
  • Click on PIN Generation
  • The machine will them prompt you to enter your SBI Bank account number. Enter the bank account number and click on Confirm
  • You will then be prompted to enter the registered mobile number. Click on Confirm
  • Re-enter the registered mobile number and click on Confirm again.
  • This will prompt a message “Your Green PIN generation has been successful and you will receive the same on your mobile number”.
  • Check your mobile number for the SMS that contains the Green PIN.
  • Cancel the process and take out your ATM card

Once done, you have to then re-enter the ATM card to the machine to now reset or change the SBI debit card PIN.

Another easy and hassle-free method to change the SBI debit card PIN is via SMS. Follow the steps mentioned:

  • Open your message app on your phone
  • Go to create a new message and then type “PIN<space>last four digits of your debit card<space>last four digits of your bank account number” and send it to 567676.
  • You will then receive a Green PIN that is valid for 2 days.
  • Visit the nearest ATM and then follow the PIN change steps we have shared in the above steps.

How To Reset SBI Card PIN Through Customer Care?

If none of the above steps are working, you can directly call SBI’s customer care at number 1800 11 22 11/ 1800 425 3800 or 080-26599990. Make sure you call from your registered mobile number. Follow the instructions and then select the “ATM and Prepaid Card Services” option. Under that, you will get the Green PIN generation option. Select that and you will receive the Green PIN to your mobile via SMS. Once done, you need to take the same to the nearest ATM and follow the steps for the PIN reset we shared above.
